Multiple Orgasms In Men: Fact Or Fiction?

It is one of the harder facts of life, where men are concerned, that women can have more than one orgasm, while they are confined to a single, explosive moment. Or are they? Chase, in East Lansing, MI, writes with a question about this very issue:

Masturbation Is Good For Men

“My girlfriend can have multiple orgasms, but I can’t. What’s up with that?"

Well, Chase, this is one of the many scientific differences between men and women’s bodies. After you orgasm, there is a period of time known as the refractory period – which is essentially a rest period – while your body is recuperating. During a man’s refractory period, his body is taking time to reload his gun, if you catch my drift. A woman, on the other hand, has virtually no refractory period, and she’s ready to go essentially as soon as she catches her breath. Now, a man who is young and healthy may be ready to go in 20 minutes or so, but as you age, that down time becomes longer and longer—up to several hours. And for an older man, the refractory period may be indefinite, meaning if you orgasmed once, you’re not going to do it again that day, period

Now, some men have been able to achieve a sensation similar to multiple orgasms by the use of tantric sex exercises. Essentially, they allow themselves to push just to the verge of climaxing, but then they pull back. By doing so, they can experience orgasmic like contractions without actually ejaculating – and this can extend the sensations for a longer period of time. Now, this takes a lot of self-control and a lot of practice, and it can be pretty frustrating, so some men just aren’t interested in going that route. If you are, you can do a little bit of research on the techniques on your own. However, if it’s just not for you, then you’re going to have to go the old-fashioned way and just wait out the rest period. Sorry to say, but it looks like your girlfriend is going to one-up you in this department. Good luck and have fun!

Male Sexual Health After Cancer

One of the most non skin cancer that has overtaken lung cancer as a leading cancer that is affecting men by far has to be prostate cancer. The cancer affects 88% of men over the age of 65 and can occur in younger individuals but it's rare. As males age, the cancer becomes a problem and it's therefore imperative for males to know their sexual overall condition after being diagnosed with any type of cancer related diseases. Every year, one out of six males in America will have developed it and a chilling factor to all this is that males have a 33% chance of being diagnosed with prostate cancer related issues than a woman is to get cancer related to her breast. Over 230,000 cases were reported in the United States last year making it a common ailment among men. There are over 30,000 expected deaths that are prostate related making it lethal than skin cancer.

What is Prostate?

Prostate is a male size gland that is located behind the pubic bone in front of the rectum and has a size of nearly a walnut. At birth, the gland is small and continues to grow until the man reaches 20 years old. The gland size does not change thereafter until the male reaches 45 years. Its primary role is to produce thick fluids that nourishes the sperm as well as helping the sperm navigate through the penis to reach and fertilize an egg. The Prostate gland may not necessarily be a primary part of the urine tract but none the less it can play an imperative role in the urinary physical condition of men.

What Exactly is Cancer?

The human body is made up of different types of cells and these cells sometimes mutate and begin to grow at an abnormal pace and instead of these cells dying, they clump together to form tumors. These malignant tumors invade and kill healthy tissues in the body. These tumors help cells to metastasize therefore creating more tumors in different parts of the body. Therefore, it is safe to say that this cancer is abnormal cells that grow out of control thereby forming small bumps or nodules on the outer part of the glands. As the glands are close to the bladder, they may interfere with urination and make the sexual condition of a man after being diagnosed become dysfunctional making the nerves responsible for the erections. Doctors recommend that every man over the age of 55 undergoes a PSA test and a rectal exam. African Americans have a higher chance of getting diagnosed with this type of cancer than their Caucasian counterparts and therefore they should get tested earlier preferably at 40.

What are the Symptoms?

The thing that is baffling is that it does not show any indication for years and when the signs appear, the cancerous cells have spread beyond the prostate. The signs include not being able to urinate, having a hard time stopping the flow of urine, discomfort when ejaculating, pains in the sexual organs, body fluids in the semen such as blood and many others.

Who are at Risk?

More than 80% of cases have been males over the age of 65 and it's safe to say that males who are aged between 50 and 55 are at risk of being diagnosed. African Americans also have a higher chance of getting this diagnosis than white or Hispanic males and it is more common in North America and Northwestern Europe. Family history should also be considered because it appears that genes also play a role in developing the risks of being diagnosed. Finally, males who have undergone vasectomy may have an increased risk.

Men's Sexual Health After Cancer

There are some impacts that affect the men’s sexual health after cancer, for examples being having less interest in sex, not being able to have an erection, orgasm problems being that one will take long before achieving orgasm and finally having premature ejaculation problems which may include having an orgasm without any semen or with urine instead of semen. Other impacts may include less sex drive and less sexual sensation.

Sexuality After Cancer

Sexuality involves more than sex itself; it will include the physical, psychological, emotional and social aspects of sex. This means how men who have undergone cancer view themselves as well as how their partners view them. Is it possible to date after getting cancer treatment? How can one deal with the needs of sexual relationships after cancer? These are some of the questions that arise after men have had cancer treatments.

How cancer affects sexuality defers from person to person. Some men will get the support they crave from their healthcare team, partners, friends and fellow survivors. A support group also helps men connect with their sexuality after surviving cancer and can help individuals talk about their concerns with these groups in order to find a way forward.

There are others who might find the going difficult and it's therefore imperative to find a mental health provider who will help you cope with the emotional and physical trauma one is facing. A therapist who is full of expertise will help the men move forward from the troubling tides and help them move on.

Sexual Function After Prostate Cancer Surgery

The emotional effects of cancer may contribute to a number of survivors feeling anxious, depressed or self-conscious. This can also create stress for the partner and will therefore present challenges with sexual functioning. A licensed mental health professional is needed to deal with these types of emotions is always welcomed. The healthcare team ought to help cancer survivors learn more about treating concerns and improve the ability to have sex again. Even survivors who no longer have sex are able to find ways to continue to enjoy affection and closeness with their partners. All is not lost.

7 Exclusive Ways To Turn Sexual Trauma Into Orgasmic Bliss

Unfortunately it is a subject that is often avoided, simply because it can make people uncomfortable. To make it even more difficult to discuss is the way that society can often view sexual trauma. Rape and other forms of sexual assault can happen to both men and women at any time in their lives, though it most commonly occurs in children and young adults. With the difficulty many people have discussing their sexual trauma, the emotional pain and confusion is often suffered in silence for years.

Sexual Relationships

Fact We Live in a Rape Culture

The culture we live in plays a large role in how we deal with sexual abuse. While celebrities are starting to break with tradition and discuss their sexual traumas in public, it is still not enough to effect any change. Popular culture can affect how we view sexual trauma, and this is where the changes first need to occur. Some of the stereotypes that persist to this day can include, girls still being taught that they need a man to feel complete, and boys continue to believe that showing emotions is a sign of weakness. Adding to the belief that we live in a culture that seems to support sexual abuse are the movies and television shows that can glorify it.

What can be even more confusing is the message that society is telling us that it is wrong to talk openly about sex, even though it is everywhere. While we are taught not to have sexual irresponsibly, cheating is common and pornographic material can be found almost everywhere. With all of the confusing sexual messages that society is embracing, it can even be difficult for couples to achieve orgasms or embrace effective sexual technique. With a growing number of men and women experiencing some type of sexual abuse or trauma in their lives, it is time to consider more creative ways to turn sexual trauma into orgasmic bliss.

Sexual intercourse can have enormous healing powers and can also help us to grow closer to our partners and even ourselves. In order for this to happen, we need to educate our children and give ourselves permission to have uninhibited sex with our partners without the fear of society's ridicule. It is important to remember that any sexual activity that involves your partner should first be discussed. Trying to force someone to perform any sexual act is simply another type of abuse.

1. Learn that sexuality isn't just about sex.

Remember your inner child, and when a simple touch just felt good. There were no pressures to engage in intercourse or other sexual activities; it was only about innocently enjoying yourself for a moment.

2. Reconnect with innocence.

This can be especially helpful if you have recently experienced or are recovering from a sexual trauma. Simply imagine yourself as a young teenager again, when you were first discovering your body. Reconnecting with this innocence regarding sexual feelings and experiences can help you begin to recover and remember that sex was never meant to be traumatic.

3. Rekindle your relationship with nature.

Nature can help couples rediscover their sensual sides, and even reconnect with each other intimately. There is life and sex apparent all over in nature from bees pollinating flowers to the hatching of baby birds, having intercourse outdoors can lead to an amazing orgasm for both partners and a new sense of appreciation for each other.

4. Redefine power.

Instead of always trying to in control in the bedroom, couples should always treat sexual intercourse as a team effort. There should never be an unbalance in power, where one partner is always taken care of first. Giving and sharing can be an even more powerful feeling than the one you get when you are simply in control.

5. Let your orgasm out.

Don't ever be afraid, ashamed, or embarrassed to have an orgasm or to show one. Not only will you enjoy it more when you simply let it out, chances are your partner will appreciate as well. Having an orgasm is never something that a person should be ashamed about.

6. Talk to your kids.

It is normal for small children to explore their bodies, and as parents you should never make them feel ashamed or embarrassed. While there are times and places where it would not be encouraged, at home in the bath is perfectly normal. When they are older and puberty is approaching, you will be better able to handle the sexual discussions that all parents wind up having.

7. Take charge of your reproductive health.

Men and women should be responsible for their health, including their sexual organs. Learn to recognize your body’s reactions and notice when something just seems to be wrong. While it is always encourage visiting a health care provider regularly, it is still your responsibility to know your own body.

Orgasmic Meditation is Good For Reproductive Health

Conclusion
While society may make it difficult for men and women to discuss past sexual traumas, and it may encourage confusing sexual behaviors, a few creative changes can help you and your partner overcome sexual abuse and begin a new way of looking at sex.

Faking orgasms: Why it is only hurting the faker

“Shirley, in Lexington, KY, writes about a common issue, especially for women:”

“Is there anything wrong with faking orgasms? Sometimes I do it to make him feel good, and sometimes I do it just so we can be done already.”

If You're Faking Orgasms, Your Partner Might Dump You

Well, no, there is absolutely nothing wrong with faking orgasms – so long as you don’t like them or ever want to have them with this partner again. Now, unfortunately, it’s pretty common for women to fake orgasms, and as with Shirley, they often do this in an attempt to save their partners feelings. However, in the long run, all that’s doing is hurting you, the faker. If you are spending all this time trying to convince your man that he is a stud in bed, when it turns out that’s not exactly the truth, that time could be better spent by teaching him what you do like so that you can both have a much more mutually enjoyable sex life. So, while it may hurt his feeling a little bit, it’s best in the long run to show him what you like, rather than pretend that things are going better than they are. That way you can both have orgasms – no faking necessary. Good luck!

Mismatched testicles: Is it OK to have balls of different sizes?

Rashid, in Springfield, IL, writes,

“My balls are two different sizes; should I be worried about this?”

Testicle Hang Lower in the Scrotal Sac

Hi Rashid, thanks for writing in. There is absolutely nothing wrong with your testicles being two different sizes; in fact most men have a slight variation in size. And, for the record, one testicle will also hang lower in the scrotal sac than the other, so don’t be alarmed by that, either. Now, the only time this is cause for concern is if one testicle is significantly larger than the other one, if it contains a lump or a hardened nodule, if it’s painful or tender to the touch, if there has been a sudden change in size -- for instance they used to be more similar in size and one of them seems to have grown -- or if it’s accompanied by pain in the abdomen or other strange symptoms, you need to get yourself to the doctor to get yourself checked out so he can make sure everything is A-OK. However if your only concern is a slight variation in size, then you can rest assured that you are in the norm. But keep up those testicular self-exams, as they are a good way to keep on top of your physical and sexual health. Thanks for writing in, and good luck!

Public sex conundrum: How to experience the thrill without getting caught

This week, we hear from a reader with an unusual question that many of you may have, but never thought to ask:

Jamal, from New York, NY, writes:

“My girlfriend and I get really turned on by public sex, but obviously, we don’t really want to get arrested for public indecency or anything like that. Any suggestions on how can we get the thrill without the risk?”

Sex In Car

Check this Article: Penile Implant Surgery in India

Well, Jamal, for many couples, it’s just the possibility of getting caught that makes sex so exciting; but you're right – getting arrested for indecent exposure or lewd behavior is more than a little embarrassing and could have some pretty severe consequences. On the other hand, you don't have to give up on the idea altogether; you can try to simulate the public nature of the activity without actually having the risk using some of the following ideas.

Some options that are a little bit safer might include having sex in your own back yard, or on your deck (or balcony, if you are in the city), or in a hot tub – but if your outdoor areas are not completely private, make sure that you wait until dark so that others don’t see you.

Now, another option would be to go camping. Having sex in a tent can feel very exciting because you are out in the woods, under the stars to an extent; or you could even rough it a little bit more and go into a part of the woods that is safe, but also secluded enough that a bunch of campers are not going to come upon you.

Other people find hotel sex to be exciting, because there are always people buzzing around, which makes it feel a little bit more public than the privacy of your own bedroom. Whatever you decide to do, just be smart about it –if you do take a risk of a more public place, make sure you leave as many of your clothes on as possible, so that you can make a quick cover up if you need to. Good luck!

How to increase a man's fading libido

A waning libido can be caused by a number of factors. As a man ages, it is natural for the libido to decline as testosterone levels decrease. Illness, medication, injury, stress, diet and lack of exercise can all be contributing factors to the problem. While many men turn to pharmaceuticals for relief, there are a number of natural remedies to increase a fading sex drive.

Check this Article: Penile Implant Surgery in India

Before embarking on a self treatment plan using natural remedies to increase libido, all men should visit their doctor to be sure there isn't a serious underlying condition at the root of the problem. There are times when medical intervention is the only course of action to take. Only after a doctor has ruled out disease, illness or injury should a man look into a natural approach for curing his erectile dysfunction. Here are a number of natural remedies to increase a man's libido.

Boost Your Libido For Man

Diet
Ø  Eating foods that are rich in zinc has been known to help increase sex drive. Some foods to try include: oysters, lobster, roasted pumpkin seeds, crab, peanuts, toasted wheat germ, almonds and chick peas.
Ø  Foods that contain high amounts of arginine are also a natural way to increase a man's sex drive. The following foods are a good source of arginine: sunflower and sesame seeds, almonds, chicken, turkey and shrimp.
Ø  Avoid alcoholic beverages, especially drinks that contain tonic water. Alcohol is a known libido zapper, but when it is paired with tonic water, which is made with quinine, the effect is doubled.
Ø  Avoid fatty foods and foods high in processed sugar. Some foods to eliminate include red meat, bacon, sausage, dairy and processed baked goods.

Herbs
Ø  Ginko biloba has been shown to have a positive response on all four phases of sexual response and can help boost a sagging libido.
Ø  Horny goat weed contains both polysaccharides and icariin, which increase sperm production and blood testosterone levels, which can have a positive result on the libido.
Ø  Ashwaghanda is similar to ginseng and has been used to increase sexual energy as it helps impotency and infertility.
Ø  Sarsaparilla contains saparins, which are believed by many to mimic the action of some male hormones. It has been studied for its ability to boost sexual performance.
Ø  It is recommended that those using herbs to boost their libido also take Saw Palmetto to increase overall effectiveness.

Lifestyle Changes
Ø  Exercise provides two ways to boost a sagging libido. It helps increase circulation, which can boost blood flow to the genitals, thus allowing for more frequent and stronger erections. It also aids in the loss of body fat, which can lead to circulatory problems, disease and self esteem issues which can cause a sluggish sex drive.
Ø  Meditation can used be used to counteract the stressors of every day life. When a man is stressed over money, bills and work, it can have a negative effect on his performance. Meditating helps calm the mind, relax the muscles, increase blood flow and ease stress, thus freeing his mind for things to come.
Ø  Spend quality time with your partner. When you schedule sex into your daily routine, it becomes, well, routine. When sex becomes boring and lack luster, a man's mind may begin to wander, hampering his libido. Couples should spend time together engaging in physical interests that can bring them closer in body and mind.
Ø  Stop smoking. Smoking can have adverse effects on blood flow, which can damper sexual function.

Can Hypnosis Help with Erectile Dysfunction?

Befuddled by the ability to achieve erection and orgasm when solitary but having difficulty when with a partner? Often times this relevant yet taboo subject matter’s source is that of anticipatory anxiety. Being nervous or stressed about being nervous or stressed and fearing rejection from a new or established partner. There are many reasons why a male may have difficulty in achieving an erection. Health issues such as diabetes, pulmonary disease, heart disease, and other disorders or diseases that restrict blood flow to the penis. The lifestyle choice of smoking can also contribute to erectile dysfunction. It is important to first rule out any health related issues that may be hindering your sexual performance. Once you have had your health cleared by a licensed medical doctor perhaps it is time to explore possible subconscious blockages that may prevent full arousal in intimate situations. If there isn’t any physical or emotional trauma that has created the dysfunction, more than likely it can be attributed to anxiety.

Can hypnosis help ED

How can you determine whether you are suffering from anticipatory anxiety in a sexual context?

1.       You have an established partner where some form of rejection was perceived and now you feel anxious regarding performance.
2.       You have had 0-2 episodes of erectile dysfunction. But you have a new sexual partner and fear not being able to perform.
3.       You are extremely attracted to your new partner and don’t wish to disappoint. The fear of rejection creates a subconscious blockage resulting in premature discharge or loss of the erection.

Can Hypnosis Cure ED

The solution? Using hypnosis to discover subconscious blockages and develop new identifications and associations to create a successful sexual experience with your partner. Hypnosis is also a successful means to release fear or phobic response, create confidence, disable triggers and lower stress response. The skills that you learn in your session(s) can apply to other areas of your life as well.

Considering penis size: What's normal and why not to worry

Brandon, in Portland, OR, sends in a question that almost all guys have wondered about at some point:

“I’m 17 years old, and I feel like I have a small penis. How long does it usually keep growing? Is there still hope for me?”

Penis-Size-During-Puberty

Check this Article: Penile Implant Surgery in India

Well Brandon, that’s a good question. Obviously, each individual grows and matures at his own rate, so there is not one definitive answer to this question. Age of onset of puberty, as well as how quickly other developmental changes are happening in your life, are contributing factors to determining how much growth you still have left to do. A boy who reaches puberty at age 12, for example, will likely reach his full adult size much sooner than a later bloomer who doesn’t hit puberty until age 16 or 17.
Now, most men continue to grow in height until their early 20’s, so if they haven’t reached their full adult height, you can assume that other body parts haven’t reached their full length yet, either. So being 17 years old, I would say you probably do have some growing left to do, but I’m not certain about that one. Now Brandon, I would try not to stress about it too much, even if things don’t shape up the way you want them to down there. I promise you that you are far more concerned about the length of your penis than any future partners will be, so try not to worry about it. And for the record, the average penis length is 5.5 to 6 inches long when erect, so make sure you’re keeping your standards reasonable. Good luck.
