Exercise is Associated with Improved Erectile and Sexual Function in Men

Men are generally searching for natural drug free manners to increase their sexual performance and enjoyment. Cedars-Sinai Medical Center reported via Newswise on March 23, 2015, exercise is associated with improved erectile and sexual function in men. According to a recent study men who exercise more have better erectile and sexual function, regardless of race.

Men who exercise have improved erectile and sexual function

Although previous studies have highlighted the association between better erectile function and exercise, African-American men have generally been underrepresented in this literature. Adriana Vidal, PhD, senior author of the study, says this is the first study to link the benefits of exercise in relation to improved erectile and sexual function in patients of a racially diverse group.

There were about 300 participants in this study. They self-reported their activity levels and their sexual function which included the ability to have erections and orgasms. The quality and frequency of erections and overall sexual function were also assessed. The men who reported more frequent exercise had higher sexual function scores, regardless of their race. In reverse, men who exercised less reported lower levels of sexual function.

This study has been published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine. The researchers investigated the association of exercise with both erectile and sexual function in white and black men. It was observed in a racially diverse population, exercise is highly associated with better erectile and sexual function regardless of race. It's great news for men that exercise may improve their sexual performance and enjoyment while also helping them to feel better, achieve better weight and blood pressure control, and maintain a healthier heart.
